Jaga Pokkuru

A Calbee snack exclusive to Hokkaido, made by cutting Hokkaido potatoes into sticks with their skins on and frying them to a crispy texture. The name is derived from 'Koropokkuru,' a small fairy appearing in Ainu folklore. It was named after these lovely beings said to live under butterbur leaves. For seasoning, we use Okhotsk roasted salt produced near Lake Saroma, which gently enhances the natural, fluffy umami of the potato. Produced only at the Chitose factory in Hokkaido, it is a truly exclusive taste of the region. It is a quintessential souvenir that you simply cannot stop eating once you take a bite.
