KitKat Mini Onsen Manju
A unique KitKat where Nestle has recreated the flavor of Onsen Manju (hot spring steamed buns). It is a local-style souvenir found in hot spring resorts across Japan, including Hokkaido. Developed to resemble an Onsen Manju, the outer chocolate is finished in a thin, brownish color reminiscent of the bun. Furthermore, the wafer inside is sandwiched with a cream containing red bean powder. The gentle flavor of the red bean paste and the chocolate match surprisingly well. A dish where Japanese and Western flavors meet, perfect as a souvenir from a hot spring area. It makes you want to savor it while taking a relaxing break, as if enjoying it right after a soak in the hot springs.
