Rokkatei Mansaku

A lemon cake from Rokkatei, named after the 'Mansaku' flower that blooms with the first winds of spring. 'Mansaku' is a yellow flower that blooms early in the spring; its name is said to originate from 'mazu saku' (blooming first). It was named after the people of Bansha-sha, who were involved in the development of Tokachi, calling this flower 'Mansaku.' While it was once a manju (steamed bun) filled with bean paste, it was reborn in 2020 as a lemon-scented pound cake. The feeling of waiting for spring embedded in its name remains unchanged. Its charm lies in the refreshing aroma of lemon peel and its moist texture. This baked confection from the long-established Obihiro shop, Rokkatei, allows you to feel the changing of the seasons.
