Hakodate Yukinko Plain
A chilled filling peeks out from white dough that looks just like snow. This sweet, born in Hakodate, features Hokkaido-sourced sweet potato and fresh cream wrapped in soft, fluffy gyuhi (mochi). When eaten semi-frozen, the combination of the chewy dough and the cold filling creates a brand new texture. The sweet potato inside is sourced from Assabu Town near Hakodate, paired with milk produced in Hakodate. Simply wait a short time after taking it out of the freezer to enjoy a snack experience unlike any other. Chewy and chilled. Once you taste it, it becomes addictive—a unique deliciousness found nowhere else. It is steadily gaining popularity as a new staple for Hakodate souvenirs.
