Akai Silo (Red Silo)
A moist and rich cheesecake crafted by Seigetsu in Kitami City. In the past, brick silos used for storing forage stood across various parts of Hokkaido. This product was created in 1996, named "Akai Silo" to reflect those landscapes and a passion for dairy production. Its fame spread nationwide during the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics. When the Japanese women's curling team (LS Kitami) were seen enjoying it during halftime on the broadcast, orders flooded in. With a soft texture and gentle sweetness that makes you want to return even without the Olympic hype, it is a delicious treat that utilizes Hokkaido's ingredients. Please be sure to try it when you visit Kitami.
