Hogaja Scallop
These crispy fritter-style rice crackers are baked at Yamaguchi Aburaya Fukutaro's factory in Koshimizu, Hokkaido. The base of the dough uses potato starch from Koshimizu. Paired with it is the umami of scallops raised in the Sea of Okhotsk. A light mouthfeel, rich scallop flavor, and a hint of spice create a lingering taste that makes you want to keep reaching for more. This is a local fritter cracker made with plenty of Hokkaido ingredients. It is a highly recommended souvenir especially for those who prefer savory snacks over sweet treats.
