Sapporo Okaki Oh! Yaki-Tokibi
This creation from YOSHIMI recreates the flavor of the grilled corn (yaki-tokibi) from the famous 'Corn Wagon' at Sapporo's Odori Park, a summer staple for about a century. The name 'Oh!' contains two meanings: the 'Oh!' of surprise upon the first bite, and the joyful feeling Sapporo citizens experience when they spot the wagon in spring. Made by kneading plenty of corn into domestic glutinous rice, these okaki are crispy and fragrant, with a lingering flavor of toasted butter soy sauce. It is a flavorful souvenir that brings back memories of the lively summer scenery of Sapporo.
