LeTAO Double Fromage

A two-layered cheesecake representing LeTAO of Otaru. 'Double' means two layers in French, and 'Fromage' means cheese. The bottom layer is a rich baked cheese, while the top layer is a light, airy rare cheese. By using two different types of cheese—mascarpone and cream cheese—the two flavors overlap and melt in your mouth. Originally, this was a fresh cake available only at their shops, but in response to requests like 'I want to take this back to Honshu,' they spent many years developing freezing technology. The best way to enjoy it is in a semi-frozen, chilled, melting state.
