Sanpo-roku Kobwari (Small Pieces)

A bite-sized version of the flagship confectionery 'Sanpo-roku' produced by Ryugetsu in Obihiro. This beautiful baumkuchen features a two-layer coating of white and milk chocolate, mimicking the bark of a white birch tree. The name 'Sanpo-roku' originates from a term describing the size of firewood. It is said to be named after the shape of the end of a log when split into six pieces, where three sides measure about six sun (approx. 18cm). It is a simple, rustic name characteristic of Hokkaido. This individually wrapped small-piece type was created in response to the feedback that large whole cakes were difficult to distribute. You can easily enjoy the moist, soft cake and its flavorful appearance reminiscent of white birch bark, even just one piece at a time.
