Tenmonkan
"Tenmonkan" is an imo shochu named after the Tenmonkan district in Kagoshima City. The name Tenmonkan is prestigious, originating from the astronomical observatory "Meijikan" established by Shimazu Shigehide, the lord of the Satsuma Clan, during the Edo period. Named after this bustling district, this shochu is made from high-quality sweet potatoes grown in Minamisatsuma and finished to be light and easy to drink. Its refreshing taste, achieved through low-temperature fermentation, makes it a versatile choice that complements any cuisine. It features a unique, gentle sweetness and is perfect when served on the rocks or with water. The clean finish pairs well with all types of food. Please enjoy a glass while imagining the vibrant nightlife of Kagoshima.
