Koekikiku (Koekikiku Sake Brewery)
A brewery that had once ceased operations has been reborn. Koekikiku Sake Brewery, located in Mikazuki-cho, Ogi City, was a brewery that closed in 2006. The brewery was revived in 2019 by two individuals formerly from the television production industry, alongside Master Brewer Katsuaki Yamamoto, who had previously brewed famous sakes. Most of their sake is finished as unfiltered raw undiluted sake, characterized by a concentrated fresh sweetness and a fruit-like acidity. This unique and succulent flavor has captivated sake fans nationwide, making it a popular brand that is difficult to find. Please taste this much-discussed Saga brewery that has beautifully transformed through adversity.
