Takeo Onsen Manju
Taking it out of the steaming bamboo basket, you take a bite while blowing on it to cool it down. From within the soft, fluffy skin, smooth red bean paste gently reveals itself. This is the beloved onsen manju found at the entrance of Takeo Onsen. Takeo Onsen is an ancient hot spring with 1,300 years of history, even mentioned in the 'F젠-no-kuni Fudoki.' The hot spring town, greeted by a vermilion gate, retains a nostalgic atmosphere bustling with people after their baths. The manju sold in this town offers a traditional, simple taste, with elegant, sweet red bean paste encased in a thin crust. Taking a warm bite after relaxing in the hot springs—it is one of the true joys of visiting the onsen.
