Muraoka Sohonpo's Special Kiri-yokan
When you take a bite, the surface is crunchy while the inside remains moist. The subtle texture of the sugar crystals is followed by the elegant sweetness of the adzuki beans. This is a masterpiece of Ogi Yochan, proudly presented by Muraoka Sohonpo. Muraoka Sohonpo was founded in 1899 (Meiji 32) and is known as the long-established shop that first created the name 'Ogi Yokan.' This traditional Tachi-yokan is made by carefully kneading selected Hokkaido adzuki beans and agar. The true essence of this classic sliced yokan lies in its dual texture: the surface sugar dries into a crunchy crust while the interior remains soft. It is a treat you'll want to savor slowly, accompanied by a cup of strong tea.
