Karatsu Kunchi Manju

Karatsu Kunchi is an autumn festival held at Karatsu Shrine every November. Since the first float, 'Akajishi,' was created in 1819 (Bunsei 2), it has become one of Japan's three major Kunchi festivals, with 14 magnificent floats parading through the castle town.
