Hamasaka Nijuuseki Pear Sweets
Nijuuseki pears, nurtured by the nature of Tajima, transformed into chilled sweets. You can enjoy the authentic sweetness of the pear through gelato and parfaits from Hamasaka, Shinonsen Town. The Nijuuseki pear is a green pear discovered during the Meiji era. Seedlings were brought from Tottori in 1929 and have since taken deep root in the land of Tajima. Today, Tajima-grown pears account for much of Hyogo Prefecture's pear production, with Hamasaka playing a key role. This exquisite collection features plenty of these pears—known for their crunchy texture and refreshing sweetness—used in jellies and Western-style confectionery. A single spoonful spreads the pure aroma of pear. As a hidden gem of Tajima souvenirs, it is a highly recommended delicacy that we hope you will taste when visiting Shinonsen Town.
