Miki no Dorayaki "Miki Ichiban"
"Miki Ichiban" is the representative dorayaki of Miki, a town famous for metalworking. With its well-balanced fluffy dough and sweet bean paste, it is a beloved local souvenir. Miki is a town with a history of "Miki Metalwork" spanning approximately 400 years. It is said that after Hashiba Hideyoshi's siege of Miki Castle, carpenters and blacksmiths who gathered to rebuild the town laid the foundation for the local cutlery industry. In this town of craftsmanship, Issindo, a confectionery shop with over 70 years of history, carefully bakes each of these dorayaki. Moist, soft dough filled with plenty of bean paste. It is a warm taste of Miki, also available at the roadside station.
