Chanchanbo
This candy has been continuously produced in Tosu for over 100 years since its founding in 1915. Yamanouchi Seika Honpo continues to uphold the traditional manufacturing methods to this day. The ingredients are very simple: white sugar, domestic soybeans, and starch syrup. Within its simple and warm sweetness, there are plenty of fragrant roasted soybeans that release their flavor as you chew. It is said that the name 'Chanchanbo' carries a gentle wish for all three generations—grandfather, mother, and baby—to enjoy it together. It is a nostalgic local specialty of Tosu, passed down through the ages.
