Muraokaya Jofuku-san
Legend has it that Jofuku arrived in the land of Saga in search of the elixir of immortality. Muraokaya's 'Jofuku-san' is a famous confection born from this grand ancient legend. It is said that Jofuku crossed the sea following the orders of the First Emperor of Qin, and his story has been passed down affectionately throughout various parts of Saga. While reflecting on that tale, five types of nuts—including pine nuts, walnuts, and goji berries—are wrapped in grain paste and gently baked in a boat-shaped dough. It is a nutritious flavor where the fragrance of the nuts harmonizes with the mellow sweetness of the bean paste. Please enjoy it slowly while contemplating the ancient romance of long ago.
