Saga Confectionery Yuri
A famous confection from Kameya that has been loved for over 50 years in Furuyu Onsen, Fuji Town, Saga City. Despite its simple appearance, this item holds a deep story found nowhere else. It uses lily bulbs, which are said to be highly nutritious. It is told that in Furuyu, which flourished as a hot spring spa, the innkeepers began welcoming guests by combining lily bulbs with sugar to create a thick consistency similar to kuzu-yu (arrowroot starch drink). That ancient custom still lives quietly within this sweet. Available in three colors—white, matcha, and perilla—its charm lies in its gentle, melting texture. It is a nostalgic and warm taste of Saga, inviting you to savor the long history of Furuyu Onsen itself.
