Miyako-man
A simple and famous manju from Kochi, born in the same year as the Yosakoi Festival. It has been loved locally for over 70 years. It was created in 1953, the same year the Yosakoi Festival—which colors the summer of Kochi—began, at the Miyako-man Honpo in Obiyamachi. A moist, honey-infused castella sponge gently encloses a light white bean paste. Its simple flavor, made without any preservatives, has many fans even among those who do not have a sweet tooth. With one bite, the gentle aroma of honey and the smoothness of the white bean paste spread through your mouth. It is an irresistible taste that makes you want to eat it every day, from children to the elderly. Please enjoy this item that has been a part of the lives of Kochi people.
