Imoya Kinjiro Chocolate-Coated Kenpi (White Chocolate)

A winter favorite from Imoya Kinjiro, these crispy fried sweet potato sticks (kenpi) are generously coated in mellow white chocolate. Since its debut in 2010, many fans have eagerly awaited this season every year. The coating uses an original blend of white chocolate made from cocoa butter from the Ivory Coast and high-quality European dairy ingredients. The gentle sweetness of the sweet potato melts together with the milky, smooth chocolate. Because the chocolate melts easily, sales are limited to the cooler months from October to May only. The texture—alternating between crunchy and melting—is a luxury that overturns the conventional concept of imokenpi. It is a treat to be enjoyed only during the cold season.
