Millet Biscuit

This is the soul food of Kochi Prefecture; there isn't a single local who doesn't know it. It is produced by Nomura Enmame Kako-ten, a company founded in 1923. Having continued to process and sell these since around 1955, it is a nostalgic flavor that has raised generations of locals. The secret to its deliciousness lies in frying the biscuits in the same oil used for frying beans. The oil, infused with the savory umami of the beans, creates a unique aroma. These tiny grains, about the size of a ten-yen coin, offer a simple taste with a hint of salt. Slightly salty and irresistible to everyone from children to adults, you'll find yourself reaching for them until the bag is empty before you know it... It is a classic Kochi snack with such magic. If you buy them as a souvenir, they are sure to be a hit.

  • Millet Biscuit

A soul food of Kochi, the production of which was taken over by Nomura Enmame Kako-ten around 1955. Because it is fried in the same pot as beans, it acquires a unique flavor. It has a simple deliciousness that even Matsuko [Deluxe] highly praised.
