Kameya Yoshinaga Azuki Mochi
A soft mochi confection that highlights the flavor of adzuki beans, crafted by a Kyoto confectionery with over 200 years of history. Produced by Kameya Yoshinaga, a Kyoto confectioner founded in 1803. This long-established shop has used 'Samegai water' from a spring in front of their store for their confectionery making. The 'Azuki Mochi' consists of glutinous rice cooked in that famous spring water, paired with large, sweet adzuki beans and coated in fragrant kinako (roasted soybean powder). The addition of egg white creates a fluffy texture. The soft mochi and the simple sweetness of the adzuki beans gently melt in your mouth. It is a deeply flavorful mochi confection where the deliciousness of the ingredients stands out, primarily available at their Kyoto locations.
