Nagara River Confectionery Choco-Tobiayu
Gifu's Ayu (sweetfish) confectionery has dressed up in Valentine's attire. This is the Nagara River specialty, 'Choco-Tobiayu.' wayayu confectionery is a traditional Gifu sweet where soft gyuhi (mochi) is wrapped in fluffy baked castella dough and baked into the shape of individual sweetfish. It is a summer tradition long cherished alongside the cormorant fishing of the Nagara River. This Choco-Tobiayu features chocolate kneaded directly into the dough.
