Botchan Dango
These colorful dumplings, arranged in green, yellow, and brown on a skewer, are a joy just to look at. Smooth bean paste gently envelops soft, chewy mochi. Coated in layers of matcha, egg, and adzuki bean paste, Botchan Dango is a representative confection of Matsuyama and Dogo. It was named around the 10th year of the Taisho era (circa 1921), inspired by the dumplings appearing in Natsume Soseki's novel 'Botchan.'
