Yugo Onsen Manju
A confection that has been cherished alongside the rising steam by the shores of this famous hot spring, which boasts over 1,200 years of history: Yugo Onsen Manju. Yugo Onsen is one of the Mimasaka Three Hot Springs. Legend has it that the monk Ennin of Enryaku-ji discovered the spring after seeing a white heron healing its wounds there, leading it to be known as 'Sagi-no-yu' (Heron's Spring). In this hot spring town, which has flourished as a place for medicinal bathing since ancient times, Onsen Manju has been a beloved treat for moments of relaxation after a soak. Its charm lies in its simple, rustic flavor, with elegant sweetness wrapped in a moist, thin skin. A staple souvenir of the hot spring town, long loved by both bathers and tourists alike. It is an item that makes you want to take a relaxing break along with the warmth of the famous hot springs.
