Nishiwaki Local Sake

Nishiwaki City, which calls itself the 'Navel of Japan,' is the town where 135 degrees east longitude and 35 degrees north latitude intersect. This region is also widely known throughout the country as a major production area for Yamada Nishiki, the king of sake rice. In pursuit of high-quality Yamada Nishiki, Mansho Brewing—renowned for the famous Nagoya sake 'Kamoshibito Kuheiji'—revived its brewery in Kuroda-sho in 2020, marking the first time in half a century. The brewers themselves work in the fields, engaging in everything from rice cultivation to sake brewing. In Nishiwaki, also known as the town of Banshu textiles, the spirit of craftsmanship lives deep within. Please enjoy the local sake carefully brewed in this land where the finest sake rice grows.
