Takasago Local Sake
This is the local sake of Takasago City, a brewing hub often referred to as the 'birthplace of Japanese sake' in Harima. 'Souzakari,' brewed by Nishitani Sake Brewery in Yoneda-cho, is carefully crafted one bottle at a time using local rice and water in this region facing the Harima Sea. Harima is the area covered by the Geographical Indication 'GI Harima,' which is granted to sake made exclusively with Yamada Nishiki rice grown in Hyogo Prefecture. Takasago plays its part in this region, and its main characteristic is a mild and soft flavor nurtured by the warm climate of the Seto Inland Sea. When paired with fresh seafood caught in the Harima Sea, the excellence of this local sake is further enhanced. It is a prideful bottle, filled with the blessings of the land, that has been cherished locally for a long time.
