Awaji Island Lemon Liqueur

This is a refreshing liqueur made by infusing whole lemons from Awaji Island. It is produced by Hiraoka Farm in Sumoto City. About 70 years ago, the farm was established by fishermen who reclaimed the mountains; after being inspired by Limoncello during a visit to Southern Italy, they successfully commercialized this product. Their commitment lies in using Awaji Island lemons that are hand-polished with cloth one by one, without the use of wax. The brewing is carried out in collaboration with Tsubosaka Sake Brewery in Himeji, and it has been selected for 'Five-Star Hyogo,' a program that highlights excellent local specialties of Hyogo Prefecture. When chilled thoroughly and mixed with soda, the aroma of lemon spreads beautifully. With its sweet and sour profile, it is an island specialty that is easy to enjoy even for those who are not fond of strong alcohol.
