Shirayuki (Konishi Sake Brewery)

This is one of the oldest surviving brands, born in Itami, the birthplace of sake. Konishi Sake Brewery, the producer of Shirayuki, was founded in Itami in the 19th year of Tenbun (1550). It is said that the name 'Shirayuki' (White Snow) was given by the second generation brewer, who was moved by the noble snowy scenery of Mount Fuji while transporting sake barrels to Edo. As a prestigious brewery that has supported Japanese sake culture for centuries in the land of Itami, where the foundation of clear sake brewing was established. With a flavor once praised as 'The mountain is Fuji, the sake is Shirayuki,' its taste is truly the history of Itami itself. The mellow, easy-to-drink flavor pairs perfectly with Japanese cuisine. This is a sake that has been passed down through more than 400 years. Please take your time to enjoy a cup while reflecting on the very beginnings of Japanese sake.
