Hakutaka (Hakutaka Sake Brewery)
This is a prestigious ritual sake, the only one selected for Ise Jingu. Hakutaka's 'Hakutake' is the sole brand designated as the official sake for Ise Jingu. Since 1924 (Taisho 13), it has been continuously offered during the shrine's festivals. The connection is said to have begun when a Shinto priest, who moved to the nearby Hirota Shrine during the Meiji era, enjoyed and recommended Hakutaka. It is brewed using the famous Miyamizu spring water of Nada and Yamada Nishiki rice grown in Hyogo Prefecture, utilizing the laborious, traditional Kimoto brewing method. Its pure and dignified flavor, worthy of a sacred setting, quietly fills the heart. The clean umami does not overpower food, and one sip conveys the care taken in its brewing. It is a bottle that adds unparalleled elegance to a drink on a special occasion.
