Enshin Moro-don of Kamigori
Enshin Moro-don is a local udon unique to Kamigori Town. Named after the town's hero, Akamatsu Enshin, this udon was created in 1994 as part of the Chamber of Commerce's 'Village Revitalization Project' with the cooperation of the local Hirata Seimen noodle factory. Its most prominent feature is the inclusion of moroheiya powder, grown by the Kamigori Town Medicinal Herb Research Group, kneaded directly into the noodles. The vibrant green noodles are smooth and easy to eat, making them a favorite for everyone from children to adults. Its charm lies in the characteristic viscosity of the moroheiya and its healthy profile. Kamigori Town is the only place where you can compare how it tastes in various styles.
