Inami Six-Row Barley

The fragrant aroma of barley tea is supported by the six-row barley of Inami Town. With low rainfall, areas such as Inami Town and Kakogawa City in the East Harima region are among the leading barley-producing areas in Western Japan, providing ideal conditions for cultivation. For over 30 years since the late 1980s, JA Hyogo Minami has worked to develop six-row barley for barley tea as a local specialty. Many producers cultivate varieties such as 'Shunrai' across vast farmlands, working together as a community to protect their production region. That indispensable cup of barley tea in the summer is supported by these steady, long-term efforts. Its fragrant and refreshing flavor is perfect not only for barley tea but also for shochu and barley rice. Please experience the power of barley grown right here in our local community.
