Mitane Beef

When you place a lightly heated slice in your mouth, the elegant fat melts away delicately, followed by the rich umami of the lean meat. Whether in sukiyaki or steak, Mita beef has captivated many with its superior balance. Mita beef is produced by carefully fattening calves born as Tajima beef in the land of Sanda. The subsoil water from the Mukogawa river system and a climate with large daily temperature fluctuations firm the cattle's bodies and refine the quality of the meat. Driven by a sense of urgency to avoid being overshadowed by Kobe Beef, a council was established in 1986 to protect and nurture this name. With fine marbling and solid lean meat, it is Sanda's pride, held in high regard by chefs in Kobe and Osaka.
