Uncle Rikuro's Cheesecake is a must-eat when visiting Osaka. This long-beloved specialty is famous for its freshly baked, fluffy texture. It all began in 1984, when the founder, Rikuro Nishimura, started selling freshly baked cheesecakes at his shop in Kitakagaya. The batter uses cream cheese imported directly from a highly reputable factory in Denmark, with raisins simmered in homemade syrup hidden at the bottom. You can identify it by the 'Rikuro mark' branded onto the bottom. When freshly baked, the flavor of the egg stands out; once cooled, the richness of the cheese emerges. Its melt-in-your-mouth, fluffy texture will make you want to come back again and again.
