Apples of Azumino
With just one bite, a juicy sweetness overflows along with a crisp texture. These are apples grown in Azumino. Azumino City is a renowned production area where apple orchards spread across highlands at elevations of 600 to 800 meters. The cool air from the Northern Alps and the large temperature difference between day and night significantly increase the sugar content of the apples. In particular, it is said that the late-harvest San Fuji varieties endure cold enough for frost to fall during the harvest season, increasing their sweetness as if trying to prevent themselves from freezing.
