Chiba Ramen
A single bowl is packed with the essence of Chiba's ramen culture—and while we call it 'Chiba Ramen,' its lineup is incredibly diverse. Within the prefecture, you can find the distinct personalities of the 'Three Great Ramens of Chiba': Katsuura Tantanmen, Takeoka-style, and Arirang Ramen. What's interesting is that many of them are soy sauce-based and use plenty of onions. Both are prideful local specialties of Chiba. Because this is a region with a soy sauce production history spanning over 300 years, the flavor of the land permeates every bowl. From coastal towns to inland areas, the character changes depending on the locality. The more you compare them, the more the depth of Chiba's culinary landscape reveals itself in every bite.
