Iwate Kura Beer is a collection of distinctive craft beers brewed by leveraging the sake-brewing expertise of Seiki Ichino Brewery in Ichinoseki. Seiki Ichino Brewery is a historic brewery founded in 1918. In 1995, they began brewing beer by applying the fermentation technology cultivated through sake production. Their flagship product, the Oyster Stout—which uses Sanriku oysters even with their shells—has frequently received high acclaim at international beer competitions.
