Tono City is known as a sacred site for doburoku culture, having been the first in the nation to be designated as a Doburoku Special Zone in 2003. This confection reflects the fermented flavors born from rice and koji in candy form, featuring the gentle sweetness of koji and a unique, nostalgic flavor.
