Bohme
When thinking of Japanese-Western confectionery from Ehime, many people likely think of Bohme first. It was originally created in 1950 under the name 'Butter Manju'. In 1953, the name was changed. When the National Sports Festival was held in Shikoku, a painter returning from France tasted it and praised it, saying, 'It is truly a poem.' Thus, it was named 'Bohme,' expressing the wish for 'the taste of a mother's blessed dream.' An egg-yolk bean paste is softly wrapped in a tender dough with a rich buttery aroma, finished with a gentle melt-in-your-mouth texture that floats between Japanese and Western styles. It is a representative confection of Ehime, produced at a factory in Toon City for over 70 years.

Baby Boemu
A variation of Baby Boemu manufactured at the Tohon City factory by Boemu Co., Ltd. This mini-sized version, designed to be eaten in one bite, features the classic plain flavor with vanilla-scented yellow bean paste. The affordable small-bag type is perfect for small gifts or as a trial snack. It can be easily found at station and airport shops within Ehime Prefecture.
Bohme
An Ehime specialty confection born in the 1950s and loved for about 70 years. It is a milk-based confectionery consisting of smooth yellow bean paste wrapped in moist, butter-flavored dough, characterized by a unique taste that is neither purely Japanese nor Western. Each piece is carefully baked one by one at their factory in Toon City.
