The Morino-Kurashina district of Chikuma City is one of Japan's leading apricot villages, often referred to as the place where you can see 'one hundred thousand blossoms at a single glance.' Legend has it that the apricot saplings spread across this land after being brought from the princess's hometown by a bride who married into the Matsushiro Clan during the Edo period.
