Anzu Glasse
This 'Anzu Glasse' consists of candied apricots, a specialty of Chikuma City, Shinshu. It is crafted to have a moist and elegant taste while preserving the sweet and sour essence of the apricot. The Kurashina district in Chikuma City, Shinshu, is known as 'Japan's number one apricot village,' where it is said that 100,000 flowers color the landscape in spring. Legend has it that this began during the Genroku era when a princess marrying into the Matsushiro Clan brought apricot seeds with her. When highly acidic apricots are candied like this, their charm is enhanced. Upon taking a bite, the refreshing acidity and sweetness unique to apricots spread through your mouth. It is a perfect accompaniment to tea, allowing you to experience the spring of Shinshu.
