Futabado Ringo Komichi (Apple Path)
Shinshu is the kingdom of apples. 'Ringo Komichi' by Nagano's long-established 'Futabado' captures that bounty within a baked sweet. Founded in 1804 (Bunka 1), Futabado is a venerable shop with over 200 years of history, having once served as an official purveyor to the Suzaka Clan. This confection, made with plenty of Nagano-grown apples, is a popular flagship product that has won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award at the National Confectionery Expo.
