Kukuya Shun-sui Hanamame Hitokuchi Yokan
Are you familiar with 'Hanamame' (flower beans) grown in the highlands of Shinshu? These are precious beans that only grow in cool lands at altitudes exceeding 800m. This bite-sized yokan from Kukuya Shun-sui uses those very beans. Kukuya Shun-sui is a souvenir shop located on the Nakamise-dori street of Zenkoji Temple. Shinshu-grown Hanamame beans are about one size larger than those from other regions and have long been considered top-grade.
