Kurian Fuminido Hatsukuri Assortment
Obuse has been a famous producer of chestnuts since the Edo period, even serving as a tribute to the Shogunate. Kurian Fuminido, which continues to craft chestnut sweets in Obuse, has put together an assortment of their pride-and-joy chestnut confectionery. Kurian Fuminido is an established shop founded in 1864 (Genji 1). With its main store located right next to the Hokusai Museum, which is associated with Katsushika Hokusai, they use unique techniques and only domestic chestnuts to fully bring out the natural flavor of the chestnut. As the name 'Hatsukuri' (First Chestnut) suggests, this is a luxurious assortment that captures the deliciousness of chestnuts in season. Perfect as a gift for someone special or a treat for yourself. When you open the lid, the aroma of chestnuts gently spreads—an autumn message delivered from the chestnut village of Obuse.
