Uzukido Sobanohana

Uzukido is a long-established shop that has continued since the fifth year of the Meiji era (1872) in Nagano City, at the foot of Zenkoji Temple. Its signature confection is "Sobanohana." It is a Japanese-style cookie unique to Shinshu, a famous region for buckwheat. These baked goods are carefully baked one by one with a light sweetness, topped with fragrant roasted buckwheat grains. You can enjoy the mellow, natural flavor of buckwheat along with the crunchy texture of the buckwheat grains in a crisp, light bite. This Shinshu confection has been long loved since its release in 1983. Its charm lies in its simple, timeless flavor that pairs well with both coffee and Japanese tea. The care of the makers is conveyed through each carefully baked piece. It is a highly recommended item, perfect as a souvenir, allowing you to feel the atmosphere of Shinshu, the land of buckwheat.
