Rikudo Anzu-hime (Apricot Princess)
An adorable confection called 'Anzu-hime,' produced by Rikudo, a specialty apricot confectionery shop in the apricot village of Chikuma City. It is a bite-sized monaka (wafer) made with Shinshu-grown apricots. Chikuma City's Mori district is an apricot village boasting one of Japan's highest production volumes. We have gently wrapped an apricot paste made from local fruit inside a fragrant monaka shell. You can enjoy the compatibility between the sweet and sourness of the apricot and the crispy texture of the monaka wafer. Its small, bite-sized appearance makes it perfect for tea time. The balance between the savory crispness of the monaka shell and the sweet-and-sour apricot paste is so good you won't be able to stop at just one. A lovely Shinshu apricot sweet worthy of the name 'Princess.' Please enjoy it as a memory of your visit to the apricot village.
