Sakurai Kanseido Rakugan Hitohira
Founded in the 5th year of the Bunka era, Sakurai Kanseido has carved out a history of over two hundred years in Obuse. "Rakugan Hitohira" is a delicate rakugan (pressed sugar candy) crafted using traditional techniques. It is said that the chestnut confectionery of Obuse began with the "Chestnut Rakugan" created by the first generation, Ikueemon Sakurai. Inheriting the tradition of rakugan making, we have finished each piece to be as beautiful and thin as a flower petal. When placed in your mouth, it melts away, gently crumbling. With its elegant sweetness and delicate appearance, every bite conveys the refined grace of this long-established shop with its two-hundred-year history.
