This is a fresh confection produced only during chestnut season by this long-established shop with over 100 years of history. This simple dish consists of carefully strained chestnuts, squeezed tightly using a tea cloth. It maximizes the natural sweetness and aroma of the chestnuts themselves. Its hallmark is a gentle flavor made solely from chestnuts without unnecessary additives. Artisans handcrafted each piece using ingredients nurtured by the natural environment of Kiso and the underground waters of Mount Ontake. Upon entering your mouth, it crumbles softly, allowing the chestnut flavor to spread. Please taste the autumn of Kisoji on your palate. It is a luxurious moment possible only because it is limited to the season.
