Iijima Shoten Misuzu Arare

Misuzu Arare was created by Iijima Shoten of Ueda City, applying the production methods used for their signature 'Misuzu Ame' (candy). It is a colorful confection that brings out the flavor of fruit juice. Since the Meiji era, Iijima Shoten has continued to make Misuzu Ame by hardening domestic fruit juice with agar and starch syrup. Utilizing those long-standing techniques, they have finished these light-textured arare (rice crackers) with the natural taste of fruit. With a lightness that makes it impossible to stop snacking and a subtle fruity aroma, the crispy texture is also very pleasant, making it a perfect accompaniment to tea. Please enjoy this flavor unique to a long-established fruit confectionery maker, distinct from their Misuzu Ame.
